Soccer

Yesterday I had a soccer game. It was against the best team in the league. We were right behind them, only needing 1 point until the end.

He put a girl that was not usually our goal keeper in the goal. She saved most, but lost 2 shots and they flew into the net. One was a hard header that my coach said would of been hard for him to stop.

At the beginning of the game I scored a goal. I did a header (where you hit the ball in the air with your head) and it slid into the back of the net! The goaly got it in the air right as it went behind the goal line! "No goal" the ref said. Then seeing the ball behind the line the side line ref waved his flag wildly! "Goal!!!" the reff said as he corrected him self. "Yes!" My whole team cried! The goaly got mad when she found out it had been a goal. She was struggling to get the ball when I scored, but she thought she had it.

So the end the score ended up being 5 to 2. We lost again. With only one win in the season and 3 ties, we were having a rough time. " Don't put your heads down," our coach said. "You have to remember you are a year younger then all these teams."

He was pleased although we lost because we had played a great game; good shots at the goal that we didn't make, good passing, good hustling, and following through with our shots. So that was our game and I was happy too.
