Christmas Timeline!!! ((:

Hey blogger readers!!!! I just wanted to let you know about my Christmas. Here's a small timeline that doesn't include quite everything but it'll give you a picture:

December 12: We had the Down Syndrome Associaition party at 12 pm, at 6 we had our other friends party to go to.

December 19: We had our family party (Mom's side) and had all of our family over, doing our normal gift exchange with the persons name that we drew. This went quite late because with Mom's side of the family, NO ONE is ever on time.... haha, not needing to say they were all about 30 mins - 1 hr late. This was a blast.

December 20- I had my soccer Christmas party at a bowling alley. How ever, we forgot about it and came half way in to the party which I was not happy about. We had to bring a gift, and thank goodness we were in a little boutique right near the bowling alley shopping when I had to run ot to the car and get my ipod when I saw that mom had gotten a text from Dad about 1 and a half hours before saying Soccer Party at 2!!!! So, we freaked, got the present there, and hurried to the Bowling alley. Typical story of my life... hahaha

December 21- We left for Indiana and stayed for about the rest of the day at my NaNa's. We had a lot of fun there and my cousin and I TALKED TO THOMAS FISS. Long story but, Thomas is a singer from VFC (Varsity Fan Club). But he left earlier in May to go solo. Well, he was doing a live chat on SayNow which is where you call him and he can pick you and talk to you, he PICKED US! We were the last call and we were dying... Now, here comes the bad part, I was holding the phone and it was a flip phone. I freaked out... and DROPPED THE PHONE!!!! Guess what happened? Yep, you guessed right, it flipped CLOSE AND HUNG UP!!!!! We were almost crying because we only got to talk to him for about 3 minutes. You could see him talking on the camera on the computer also, and his face looked really confused when we accidently hung up... That was quite a tragedy for us because he is like our celeb crush. He's so sweet too. ((: Okay, well, we feasted there and I went and spent the night with my cousin Connor, the one that I called Thomas with.

December 22- We had our Christmas with Dad's side of the family in Indiana. It was lotsa fun, and I got to see a lot of my cousins that I hardly ever get to see but once or twice a year. We also did a gift exchange there and I got a very good amount of money from them. ((: TEHEHE SHOPPING!!! And we ate so much our tummies hurt, needless to say, that was a BLAST. I love my GrandMa, GrandPa, and the rest of our family on their side.

December 23- We came home and prepared for Christmas getting last minute Christmas shopping done and stuff....

December 24- We had adriniline in our veins, SO EXCITED! Christmas is our favorite time of the year. We went to Church then came home. I was in a dress, running backwards from Emery when she playfully pushed me and I fell back, if you read Mom's blog you'll probably already know what I did but, I broke my foot.... We didn't got to the doctor thinking it was only a sprain until the day after Christmas.

December 25- Check out next post for this.... ((:

December 26- We went to the Urgent Treatment Center. There, I found out that 2 of my metatarsals were broken. SIDE NOTE: My best friend Emily came and met me there and then came over to hang out after this and then we spent the night at her house. So ouch, I was worried and we went to CVS trying to find crutches that insurance would pay for. We didn't find any, but thankfully, when I went to Emily's house, her neighbors came over to bring some clothes for Emily and saw my foot was broken, their daughter, now in college, is a cheerleader so she had many pairs of crutches, so they happily gave a pair to me, FOR FREE. I decorated my crutches and stuff and made them look awesome with duct tape. HAHAHA!

December 29- We went to the hospital like the UTC told us to and they told me I had 3 metatarsals broken.... WOW.... We have to go back in a month.

December 31- We got a bunch of appetizers and had a party just with my family. Not like big family, just my Mom, Dad, sisters and I. It was funnn!

January 1st Midnight- HAPPY NEW YEARS!

Back and Better

Emery is adjusting well to her shots a pricks. She got home to night at 8:00 tonight. She is such a trooped for not crying. She said st the hospital, "I am going to try not to cry the next shot!" :( So sweet!!!! She had a shot on her belly tonight and it was more painful then on her arm! Ouch! Please keep praying for her to recover and get used to the shots. Thanks!

Hospital Trip BACK ON!!!

I know you probably think I am joking, but they called at 9:40 last night and said, "I feel like Emery needs to be here before Monday which is the only other time she could come. So if it is okay with you bring her in." Then she said something to make sure Mom was okay. Mom was okay and she felt fine after she vomited so, they went. They stayed up until 2:00 last night to get Emery settled. Emery is really grumpy and really mad because she has an IV (I don't know if that is how you spell it) in her so they can get the insulin in to her body for the night. At the rate of how she is reacting to them trying to prick her finger and stuff she probably will be there for 2 day. :( I hope she will be able to deal with it.  We have to start getting her blood pressure every time she eats a carb. She is going to abhor having to do that! Please keep Emery in your prayers and for her to coaperate.

Hospital Trip Cancelled

Mom got sick right at the last minute. We think she got food poisoning and was puking a lot!!!Now please keep her in your prayers also. She says she is feeling better now but we still couldn't take Emery to the hospital incase she pukes again later! :(

And if you haven't read the posts before this it will explain better, but Emery was dignosed with diabetes.

Dealing with Diabetes

Emery was just diagnosed with Diabetes today. We caught it early so she should be fine. Please keep her in your prayers. She will be going to the hospital tomorrow night and will stay there for 1-2 days. Mom and Dad will get trained on how to do the daily procedure. She is the one that won't care to have it as much as all of we would. (My sisters) Like today when our Doctor was about to leave to go test to see if she did have it, she was mad because she didn't think she had enough done to her. =] Little did she know, she was getting a prick on her finger in a few minutes. She didn't care and after her prick was done she said, "That didn't hurt at all!!!!!".

Marley was talking about what it was called and she said " What is what Emery has called? Dia..."
Emery proudly finished the sentence for her, "BETES!!!!".
Then Mom said, " Emery are you proud to have diabetes or something?!", and Emery just gleamed.

She will be okay and I am sure we will adjust it just was hard for us because we already have two other diagnoses to deal with, Down Syndrome, and Celiac Disease.
One of my best friends twin brother has diabetes and his Mom is going to help us and guide us through it. Just another help that will help us through this.

Emilee's visit

The little girl Emilee (we called her Aliza) is coming tonight. She will be here in probably an hour and a half. I am so excited to see her. Please pray that she is doing well. I can not wait to see her. I loved and still love her so much. Her little sister Addy is also coming, she is Marley's age. The little girls are excited to have some one staying here that are their age. I am excited because I love to take care of little kids and I know I will love to take care of the little girl that was almost my sister. By the way, they are staying in my room because we do not have a guest room! I will post pictures because I know Mom will take a ton! Talk to you soon!

In Memory of Eight Belles...

This post is in memory of Eight Belles who ran in the Kentucky Derby, came in 2nd place and had to be Euthanized after racing as hard as she could and breaking her front two ankles. She was my favorite, and I was crushed to see that she was injured. When I saw that t.v. with the veiw of her down on the ground my heart broke. She was number 5. Please pray for her owners. It would be hard to see your horse die right after it had made such a great comeback and almost won.

My Dreams

I know my blog is called Darrah's Dreams, and I haven't put my dream on here. Sometimes I wonder if my dream is the right path for me or if I would hate it after a while, but my dream is that I would become a singer. I have wanted this since I was 6 or 7 years old and now I want it more then ever. After I go to a concert like Aly and AJ or Miley Cyrus I come home and that night I have a dream that I became famous. I am not lying at all! To see the person up on stage makes me wonder how it feels. I have been up in front of my school to do quite a few things like sing with my friend, now this year for the Talent Show I am singing Exceptional by JoJo. I am nervous because this is the first time I have been up to sing solo with out one of my friends beside me. I have sang solo in front of people but always had someone standing there with me.

When I was 5 or 6 I was in a Christmas Church play, the director asked who wanted to try out to sing solo. I raised my hand right away. She said "Darrah, are you sure you want to sing by yourself?" You could tell she was surprised. I nodded and wanted to say, "The older kids are not the only ones who can sing!" Surprisingly I got a solo singing a remixed version of a song. After the performance I felt really good! That is when I started to love music and listen to a lot of it. Before, I had listened to it but not really loved it like I do now.

As you know, now I play guitar and I love to sing! I hope that my career will involve singing when I get older!

Gone away to Heaven

Recently my Mom's good friend Annette has gone away to heaven. Please pray for her family as they struggle through this time. She has struggled from cancer the past 2 years, (I think) and has just gone up to see God. Sorry! This is 2 days late. She died on Sunday. (12-16-07) My questions were "Why 9 days until Christmas?" and "Why not after Christmas?" None of us know answers to these except for God. Please pray once again for her family. Thank you for all of your praying and support.

Prayers

Every one please pray for my Mom's friend Annette. She has cancer and it has grown all over her side. She has had cancer for a while and has not gotten better. I have prayed and prayed. I know she will go to heaven because she is a great christian. I met her last year. That was the last time I saw her. She lives in Canada so I do not get to see her a lot. She has a kid with Down Syndrome just like Tarenne. Please pray that she can feel peace. Thanks!
